New is pre-filled with her current QB amount (total pay, net of allocations, plus any tutoring pay — the same figure as the QB Entry list), which already includes the change you just made. Old is her real annual amount from before the change — if she's had an earlier mid-year change, it's pre-filled from the "New total" on her last history row below (in that case don't go by the annual salary showing in QuickBooks — that's the ×12 figure, not her real pay). Old is only for the record and the note; the check amount is calculated from New, the amount already paid, and payrolls remaining. Adjust New if the change doesn't run a full year.
